Twitter reacts to Paula Deen’s Food Network firing
After admitting to using the N-word and subsequently losing her job, Paula Deen has once again become a Twitter trending topic.
As previously reported, Paula Deen released two apology videos after being outed for using the N-word and wanting staff to dress as slaves. The Food Network later announced that they would not be renewing the contract for her popular television show.
And after news broke of Deen’s firing, Twitter of course took off with a new hash tag to commemorate the occasion. The tag titled “PaulaDeenTVShows” quickly skyrocketed and became the #1 trending topic in the country as Twitter users named television shows with racist undertones that Deen might enjoy watching.

Prior to the PaulaDeenTVShows hashtag, Twitter obliterated Deen with “#PaulasBestDishes” naming racist dishes like ‘Cotton pickin’ peach tea’ that she might whip up in her kitchen.
