George Lucas and Mellody Hobson hire Prince to celebrate their wedding
After already holding a lavish wedding at Skywalker Ranch, George Lucas and his longtime love, Mellody Hobson celebrated their nuptials in Chicago.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Star Wars’ creator and the President of Ariel Investments, LLC took to the Windy City’s lakeside Promontory Point for a celebration that put a gaggle of stars under one roof.
Robin Williams, Ne-Yo, Mark Hamill, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Gayle King, Al Roker, Van Jones, Jesse Jackson, Ne-Yo and Hayden Christensen were all spotted at the celebration mixing and mingling while Prince performed with a 22-piece band.
The Hollywood Reporter also reports that guest were given parting gifts that included chocolate cookies from Carol’s Cookies, popcorn from Garrett Popcorn, and Marshall Field’s Original Frango Mints. Guests were also given souvenirs from Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch.
