Beyoncé holds moment of silence, shares photo for Trayvon Martin
Upon hearing that George Zimmerman had been acquitted of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, Beyoncé called for a moment of silence during one of her concerts. The superstar songstress was performing at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., when news broke that George Zimmerman would soon be a free man.
Obviously affected by the jury’s not guilty verdict, Beyoncé asked the crowd for a moment of silence before breaking into the chorus of “I Will Always Love You” for the murdered teen. Following that Bey sang her hit “Halo.”

That was not the only way Beyoncé expressed her feelings on the tragedy. The singer later updated her Tumblr with a photo featuring a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.
