Helen Thomas dies
A famed White House journalist has passed away. Helen Thomas has died according to reps for the longtime reporter. The heralded journalist was praised for paving the way for women in news and covered 10 presidents over nearly half a century.
A constant fixture at White House news conferences, Thomas often peppered presidents with tough questions leading one White House press secretary to jokingly call her questioning “torture.”
Thomas died at her apartment in Washington. She was 92-years-old. -danielle canada
