Sean Crudup and Raychas Thomas have been arrested on suspicion of stealing luggage after the Asiana Flight 214 crash. The United Airlines employee and his fiancée allegedly stole passengers’ luggage after the Boeing 777 crashed at San Francisco International Airport on July 6, 2013.
Many airlines redirected incoming flights to other California airports — but many passengers’ luggage still reached the San Francisco airport, where it started to pile up.
Crudup and Thomas have been accused of taking some of their bounty to Nordstrom in Pleasanton, Calif. and exchanging it for $5,000.
They’re are now facing grand theft and commercial burglary charges.
