Jay Z found a unique way to introduce his latest video, “Picasso Baby.” Filmed at the Pace Gallery in New York, Jay Z wanted the video to convey how hip-hop is a form of performance art.
The short film featured cameos by artists such as Lawrence Weiner, Jerry Saltz and Marina Abramovic. There were also appearances by Wale, Taraji P. Henson, Fab 5 Freddy, Michael K. Williams and Rosie Perez.
In the video, Jay Z enters an all-white room while dressed in all white. He serves as the exhibit and raps to patrons who dance, sing and connect with Jay Z’s art.
