Lupe Fiasco decided to go on another Twitter rant and have a little fun at some famous rappers’ expense. With hip-hop fans and media buzzing over Kendrick Lamar‘s verse on Big Sean‘s leaked track “Control,” seemingly every rapper in hip-hop has felt the need to respond in some way or another to Lamar’s calling-out of numerous high-profile hip-hop stars on the track. But Lupe Fiasco took a slightly different approach.
After a follower suggested that the Chicago rapper ghostwrite other rappers’ rebuttals to Lamar’s verse, Lupe took up the challenge, with some tongue-in-cheek parodies of popular rapper’s rhyming styles.
“Now that sounds like fun…who first?” Lupe tweeted. He then proceeded to spoof everyone from 2 Chainz to Tyler, the Creator.
“Tyler’s Rebuttal: excuse the heads I was just skull f–king to some eye porn. Odd Future swat team swinging tennis rackets in a fly swarm,” Lupe wrote.
“Rozays Rebut: mmmmmmmm, big waist I ain’t after the belt, I’m after the wealth, so real The Real Rick Ross Renamed his self after my self.”
Lupe went on to tweet about fans being “easily impressed.”
“Dear Y’all, Y’all know y’all easily impressed,” he tweeted. “Bar so low you need a shovel to get at it. Sincerely, Private Twitter.”
“Lets [address] this before it gets out of hand. I really don’t want to but f–k it.” he added. “We all rap. Some of us just rap to rap but others of us RAP.”
