Talk about freak accidents. A New York City taxi jumped the curb during lunchtime in Manhattan near Radio City Music Hall (49th Street and 6th Avenue) on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 and injured a tourist who was enjoying a hotdog when she was severely injured.

Sian Green, 23, is traveling from the UK with her girlfriend, who according to Dr. Mehmet Oz was “in a daze,” likely because she witnessed her friend lose her leg and almost lose her life while pinned underneath the taxi.

A bicyclist was also injured; he landed on the yellow cab’s hood. He alleges he told the cab driver to stop when he attempted to make a turn from Sixth Avenue onto 49th Street. The cab driver identified as Faysal Kabir Mohammad Himon, 24, was overheard saying, “I’m very upset.” He’s had moving violations in the past included running the red light, speeding, as well as citations for smoking in his cab and cutting in line at a taxi stand.
