No. 9 Andrew “Dice” Clay gets banned for “life”
MTV has a fairly loose standard when it comes to appropriateness–but it’s still network TV. The raunchy comic pushed the envelope too far in 1989, when he decided to recite one of his trademark “adult nursery rhymes” onstage. The stunt got “Dice” banned from MTV for “life,” though they finally lifted the ban in 2011.
