LGBT rights were front and center last night at the 2013 MTV VMAs as Jason Collins, the NBA’s first active openly gay NBA player, and A$AP Rocky, one of hip-hop’s biggest LGBT allies, introduced hip-hop’s biggest LGBT ally of the moment, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, as they performed their pro-gay anthem “Same Love” with Mary Lambert and Jennifer Hudson.
