Joe Pesci — One of the greatest actors of 1980s and of this generation (Raging Bull, My Cousin Vinnie, Casino, Lethal Weapon 2 through 4 and especially the blockbusters Home Alone and Goodfellas, the latter which earned him an Academy Award) suddenly disappeared from landscape he had taken ownership of. He had announced his retirement in 1990, like Idris Elba, pursue a music career. He was serious as it lasted 10 years. But the allure of working with frequent collaborators, all-time greats Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese, proved to be irresistible and he came back to the game.
