Back in 1994, R. Kelly and his then-protégé Aaliyah were involved in a secret love affair and the two secretly wed. However, their wedding was revealed to the world when Vibe published the couple’s wedding certificate, which stated the couple married on Aug. 31, 1994. Aaliyah, who was 15 at the time, listed herself as 18. Aaliyah’s parents had the marriage annulled in February 1995.
