Magic Johnson and Common give high school dropouts a second chance in Chicago

Chicago’s high school dropout rates are are among the highest in the country. To provide a second chance for those who have dropped out, Magic Johnson created the Magic Johnson Bridgescape Academy in the heart of inner city Chicago.

Common joined Johnson and Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn, at the Bridgecape Academy on Sept. 18. They discussed initiatives to help teens who deserve another chance at a quality education.
