Kelly Rowland may want to get her resume together. After two failed seasons and a third season that’s barely producing numbers, Fox’s “X-Factor” faces cancellation.
Despite the fact that it’s third season just kicked off a few weeks ago, “X-Factor” has delivered ratings just about 38 percent lower than last fall during its first weeks on air. According to reports, last Thursday’s episode fell to a hunble “6.1 million viewers and an unprecedented 1.9 in the demo, slipping 14 percent from last week’s two-hour edition.”
To make matters worse, “X-Factor” will face heavy competition next week at the height of TV’s fall show kick-off. “X-Factor’ will go up against original episodes of CBS’ popular sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” and NBC’s superstar show “The Voice.”
While NBC’s “The Voice” will not air on the same nights as the “X-Factor,” its popularity may draw fans away from Cowell’s disappointing singing sensation show. Will Simon Cowell and the team get it together in time to secure a fourth season? Stay tuned. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
