Director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) delivers an eye-popping shoot-’em-up loaded with big-name stars (Michelle Rodriguez, Antonio Banderas, Charlie Sheen also star) and serious attitude. Danny Trejo is Machete, a one-man killing machine hired by the U.S. government to neutralize a Mexican weapons dealer. You won’t care a whit about the plot; there is too much going on to even think about the storyline. If you want to indulge in a cerebral activity, do the crossword puzzle in The New York Times.
