The fashion industry is known for it’s very “you can’t sit with us attitude” when it comes to plus size models. Head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel was once quoted calling singer, Adele “a little too fat.” Plus size models are sparsely used in “straight size” magazines. Having Gabby Sidibe on any cover is almost an insult to actual plus size models. Elle magazine may have failed with Gabby but they definitely got it right with the lovely Tara Lynn.
