Since then, his roster has included top model Iman and legendary singers Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston and Leontyne Price, pop culture icons Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Michael Jordon, Brooke Shields, Halle Berry, Denzel Washington, Joan Rivers, Sela Ward and Muhammed Ali and even the highest in the land, First Lady Michelle and President Barack Obama, and his long-time client of 22+ years, ‘Queen of Media’, Oprah Winfrey. He is an artist and a teacher, giving instruction and advice for women and makeup industry professionals all over the world. Special skills are acquired after being in the business of makeup for 30+ years and Wells believes that women do not need to resort to surgery to enhance outward appearance, but instead skillful makeup application. He also debunks the myth that women must spend top dollar on products. Makeup application is the key. He makes it no secret. Wells authored Reggie’s Face Painting: Emmy Award-Winning Make-Up Artist Reveals His Beauty Secrets For African-American Women with Theresa Foy DiGeronimo. This wonderfully lavish, easy-to-use guide discusses the beauty secrets of some of America’s most beautiful and popular African-American celebrities and tells how they use makeup to accentuate their most glorious features. The book, tailored to women of color, takes into consideration color palates for foundation, powder, blush eye shadow and lipstick for all tones of women.
