Gay high school football player allegedly stabbed his older lover to death

Tarence Mitchell, 18, has been charged in the death of his 27-year-old lover, Ronald Taylor. According to reports by WFSB-TV, the Bloomfield, Conn., teenager got into an argument with Taylor after attempting to break off the relationship.

Mitchell and Taylor dated for two years, but Taylor was often jealous and controlling. Taylor would get upset when Mitchell would text teenage girls and once threatened him with a sword.


When Mitchell attempted to end their sexual relationship, Taylor posted a status on Facebook that revealed the teenager to be a gay football player.

One Nov. 21, Taylor showed up at Mitchell’s house and the two began to argue. It soon became physical and Mitchell stabbed Taylor with a steak knife. When Taylor attempted to run away, Mitchell stabbed Taylor once more in the back.


The teenager has been arrested and charged with murder. His bail is set at $1 million.
