Ciara explains “Body Party” Grammy snub
After the 2014 Grammy nominations were announced sans a nod for Ciara’s “Body Party,” a number of upset fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter.

I still can’t believe the #1 r&b song at one point this yr didn’t get a Grammy nom. I am so sad & mad. Body Party is a MASTERPIECE.

Ciara’s hit single would’ve been up against tracks like Tamar Braxton’s “Love & War,” and Fantasia’s “Without Me” if recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
According to Ciara, however, she’s not taking the snub personally because she was already informed that the song was ineligible. She later explained “Body Party’s” exclusion from the nominations in an Instagram post.
“Unfortunately it couldn’t be eligible for the “My Boo” sample in it,” wrote Ciara. “I discovered this before the songs allowed for nomination were set.”
