‘Game of Thrones’ to become a video game

Get ready gamers! Walking Dead developer Telltale has confirmed that they’re working on making the HBO hit fantasy drama series, Game of Thrones, a video game to be released in 2014.

The announcement came this weekend at the 2013 Spike VGX awards with a follow up message on Twitter.

According to Telltale, “Game of Thrones” will be similar in format to the company’s previous offerings with a story-driven game-play and a whole lot of freedom to make some good and very bad decisions. As with the warmongering nature of “Thrones,” Telltale promises and assures that there will be plenty of battle scenes. “You’ll be swinging a sword now and then.”

Running already for three seasons and with the fourth premiering this coming Spring 2014, Game Of Thrones has quickly become a pop culture staple, thanks to its brilliant storytelling and diverse cast of actors and actresses that bring life to the world of Westeros.
