It was hard to find anyone whose jaw hadn’t permanently dropped at the news that Dwyane Wade fathered a love child outside of his relationship with Gabrielle Union. Reports have claimed that Wade and Union were on a “break” from each other when the child was conceived, a new report claims that he fathered the baby while he was still very much in a relationship with Union.
As previously reported, a woman named Aja Metoyer gave birth to Wade’s baby on Nov. 10 and Wade has claimed that he and Metoyer were sexually involved while he and Union were taking a break.
However, according to TMZ, approximately nine months prior to the Nov. 10 birth, Union’s Instagram page was still filled with romantic photos about Wade. In a romantic photo from Feb. 1, Union can be seen with Wade at a photo shoot with the caption “Flashback Friday.”
In another photo from Feb. 5, Wade was pictured cozied up next to Union’s dog and she captioned the photo, “Sasha don’t play when it comes to her man … ‘Down to ride ’til the very end, it’s me and my boyfriend.’ ”
A photo from Feb. 19 shows Wade holding one of Union’s scripts and she captioned the photo with, “It takes a village to help an actress learn her lines… @dwyanewade takin a break from his Gatorade commercial to give me a line reading. Thanks coach :)”
Union’s Instagram page continued to be filled with romantic photos until April, seven months before the child’s birth, when Union began posting sad and cryptic messages about enduring tough times in life.
Another photo had the Chicken Soup for the Soul-style message, “Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been, to stand up taller than you ever were.”
However, by May 16, Union had gone back to posting romantic photos about Wade.
If Union’s Instagram page is any indication, it looks like Wade’s timeline for the “break” isn’t as accurate as fans were made to believe. Unless the child was born prematurely, it’s quite possible that Union’s darker Instragram messages were a response to Wade cheating on her — he has been publicly accused of cheating in the past — as opposed to her just being sad about a “break.”
