The Tigers last won the title four years ago when Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton led the team to a 22-19 victory over the Oregon Ducks. And the Alabama Crimson Tide had won three titles within the last four years.
But none of the Tiger faithful are going to look down on the Auburn players who gave Florida State all they could handle, and were the first team all year to even stay within 30 points of the vaunted Seminole offense.
