Stay tuned to rolling out. We’re covering the Lincoln Motor Company as their newest vehicle, the Lincoln MKC, shares the spotlight with one of the emerging voices in music — Emeli Sandé — at the ESSENCE Black Women in Music celebration.

The all-new Lincoln MKC, the brand’s initial entry in the small premium utility segment, was revealed late last year in New York City. It will be on sale later this year.

Lincoln MKC introduces Lincoln Experiences with Approach Detection technology and an embedded modem that enables the MyLincoln Mobile™ app. Available features include a fully turbocharged engine lineup headlined by the 285-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine, active park assist, Deepsoft Bridge of Weir leather, Vista Roof®, 19-inch wheels, voice-activated navigation, hands-free liftgate and a host of driver-assist technologies.

The Lincoln MKC will be on the red carpet during the event in addition to the 2014 Lincoln MKZ, which will provide transportation for event honorees and VIPs, including Sandé, who has earned praise from the New York Times and admiration from Sir Elton John for her powerful performances.

“Emeli Sandé brings fresh, groundbreaking style as a performer and songwriter, which makes her a perfect match with the new perspective the Lincoln Motor Company is bringing to the luxury segment,” Shawn Thompson, Lincoln manager, multicultural marketing tells the press. “Lincoln is pleased to be the presenting sponsor of the 2014 ESSENCE Black Women in Music event because it celebrates strong and creative women.”

Sandé has written for a number of GRAMMY-winning artists. She is among a select few featured in Lincoln Motor Company’s “Journey” campaign, a program that explores inspiration, entrepreneurship and people who have followed their dreams. To learn more, click here.
