Rapper YG claims he was stopped and harassed by the Los Angeles Police Department and the police even drew their guns on his associates. According to TMZ, YG was leaving a video shoot with hip-hop star Drake when he was driving toward the San Fernando Valley. It was roughly 3:30 am on Friday, February 14, and soon, the rapper saw police lights behind him.

He was pulled over in his Panamera Porsche, and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department reportedly stated that they stopped YG because he was straddling a yellow line. But things became tense when an Escalade filled with YG’s entourage pulled up behind the police car.

According to witnesses, the deputy then pulled his gun on the individuals in the Escalade before telling the driver to leave. YG was then reportedly ordered out of his car and was administered a field sobriety test. Upon passing the test, YG was issued a warning about his driving and left without further incident.

A representative for the rapper claims he was profiled.

“He got pulled over because he’s young, Black, rich and famous,” the source reportedly told TMZ. “What do you expect?”
