Big Boi is having a banner year thus far in 2014. As he and his musical partner Andre 3000 have re-formed as OutKast and embarked on a series of sold-out shows at musical festivals across the country, the Atlanta-based hip-hop star has also just signed a major management deal.
According to the rapper himself, Big Boi has signed a management deal with Jordan Feldstein’s Career Artist Management. This is a major move for Big Boi, who joins a company with a roster of clients that include Robin Thicke and Maroon 5. Feldstein is the founder and CEO of Career Artist Management. His guidance of Maroon 5 specifically has been touted in industry circles. He landed the pop/rock band at the onset of their career, and over the last decade he’s helped them land three Grammy’s and over 10 million worldwide album sales.
In a statement Big Boi explained why he wanted to team up with Jordan Feldstein.
“Jordan is a go-getter, mover and shaker, and my kind of guy,” Big Boi said. “I love his energy. We have a lot of new material and content coming this year, and can’t wait to get things started.”
“I’m proud to have a hip-hop icon like Big Boi join our management roster,” Feldstein commented. “We are all ready and excited to get started and continue to expand Big Boi’s overall brand as an artist.”
