To attract more female viewers, the WWE decided to give fans a peek inside the lives of the female wrestlers, WWE Divas. In July 2013, WWE joined with E! to create the reality TV show, “Total Divas.”
Andrew is joined on the show by her Funkadactyls team member, Naomi, and seven other female wrestlers. The new season premiered on March 16.
“You have seven girls together so there’s going to be talk, there’s going to be drama and there’s going to be breakups,” Andrew says. “It’s a competitive world. You see all of us girls duke it out trying to make it to the top. At the end of the day, we are family and we come together and we are friends. But, you see the roller coaster of emotions.”
Since coming into the world of WWE, Andrew has experienced an array of emotions. Her journey began as a contestant on the show, “Tough Enough.” The reality TV production featured contestants who competed for a contract with WWE.
Andrew got off to an inauspicious start after being chastised by host “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for citing Alicia Fox vs. Melina as her favorite match of all-time. She was the first contestant cut. However, Andrew was able to walk away from the experience with a contract with the WWE in 2011. While ignoring the naysayers who believed she didn’t deserve the opportunity, Andrew went through strenuous training to prepare for life as a wrestler.
