NATION’S FITTEST CITIES:

The entire top 10 among the least obese cities with the percentage of its citizens obese in parentheses. Gallup said it is easy to observe that these cities tend to have concentrations of well-to-do Americans.


Boulder, Colo. (12.4 percent obesity rate)

Naples, Fla. (16.5 percent)


Fort Collins, Colo. (18.2 percent)

Charlottesville, Va. (18.2 percent)

Bellingham, Wash. (18.7 percent)

San Diego (19.3 percent)

Denver (19.3 percent)

San Jose (19.5 percent)

Bridgeport, Conn. (19.6 percent)

and Barnstable Town, Mass. (19.6 percent)
