Porsha Williams on “The View”
Porsha Williams had her day of reckoning Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” and attempted to explain to hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, Barbara Walters and Sherri Shepherd why she felt provoked by Kenya Moore during the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion.
According to Williams, Moore’s use of a scepter and bullhorn to taunt her reminded her of being bullied throughout elementary and middle school. She added that Moore has been constantly pushing her to the edge since last season.
“Yeah and a good example of that is last season,” said Williams. “You know, I went to the reunion. And at that time, I was going through a divorce … well I was starting to.”
“And you know, all of the pressure that we normally go through … it was there. She was provoking me then … and then this season, the only difference is that she had these weapons, what I call, she calls ‘props’… and that’s really the difference,” she added.
She then noted that she still has a court date pending for her battery charge stemming from the fight, and is considering suing her “RHOA” cast mate for utilizing “weapons.”
“Just like everybody else who gets charged with something like that, I have to go to court …um, you know it’s very unfortunate,” said Williams.
“You know, my attorney and I, we’re talking about that [suing her], because the scepter was super heavy.”
Coincidentally NeNe Leakes was also in the audience with her “Dancing With The Stars” partner Tony Dovolani after being eliminated from the program. Leakes stood up for Williams, who was told by Shepherd that Moore was “just having fun” with her props, and agreed that Williams was provoked into violence.
“I do feel that she was provoked,” said Leakes. “That’s not fun!”
