No matter where you go, everyone around the globe is talking about Solange’s infamous attack on Jay Z at last week’s Met Gala. Even celebrities are getting in on the discussion, including Jennifer Lopez, who recently discussed the heated topic on “Sway In The Morning.”
While chatting with host Sway Calloway, J. Lo explained that she understands that people make public mistakes, but she says that Solange and Jay Z’s fight should be a lesson learned that it’s best to take the high road, even behind closed (elevator) doors.
“You gotta take the high road. In this business you have to know that that’s part of it. Even what happened in that elevator, they thought they were having a private moment and they weren’t, unfortunately. But at the end of the day, you gotta know that that’s part of this business,” she said.
Lopez went on to say that all people, even celebrities, make mistakes though, and that it’s best if Jay and Solange just own up to the scuffle.
“People are going to be interested in those things and at the end of the day, we’re all human. We all fall down, we all make mistakes, we all have moments of not being perfect. It’s just being human, and in those moments you just have to take the high road and be honest and take responsibility and go ‘Yea, this is what happened, what am I gonna do? I messed up again, I’m sorry, Im’ma try to do better next time and for that you can be sure.’ It’s just human,” Lopez said.
Jay, Beyoncé, or Solange will prbably not be talking about this any time soon or ever, but clearly they’re not excluded from the daily drama that all people go through when it comes to family and lovers. – nicholas robinson
