50 Cent and his son, Marquise Jackson, have been in the news a few times over their dysfunctional relationship, most notably when 50 cursed at and then disowned his son via text and then claimed his hurtful words weren’t directed at him. And although fans were hoping that the father-son pair had patched things up, Jackson, sadly, let the world know that their relationship is still in shambles when he revealed that he cried over his father choosing to skip his recent graduation.
According to TheYBF.com, this weekend, Jackson posted a photo of himself at his high school graduation in Atlanta, hugging his sister as he wept in her arms at his father being a no-show.
“Yea I broke down , I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn’t. I did it without you,” Jackson captioned the photo.
However, Jackson had the support of both his mother and his sister, as well as that of his “uncle,” rapper Jim Jones, who flew down with his fiancée, Chrissy Lampkin, to support Jackson.
It’s heartbreaking that Jackson had to experience his graduation without his father. No child, no matter what kind of feud they’re having with their parent, should ever have to feel unsupported by their father during such a pivotal moment of success. Thankfully, Jackson seems to have a strong support system that made his graduation day that much more special.
