In 2006, Jay Z was barred from entering China as part of his world tour. Chinese government officials canceled his Shanghai performance because of content of his lyrics. In response, Jay Z issued a statement which he said, “This world tour has been a life changing experience and it has only been made better by touching the fans that I am seeing for the first time. “
