Carmelo Anthony among celebs wearing exclusive headwear line, Twnty Two

Gone are the days when a hat was just an accessory used to complement your clothes. Today, hats are a vital piece of one’s fashion ensemble.


With this in mind, veteran music journalist Datwon Thomas (Vibe, XXL, King Magazine) and his partners Gary Gonzalez and Sade Rogers started Twnty Two, a lifestyle brand specializing in limited edition headwear. Carmelo Anthony, Maino, Uncle Murda, and legendary media personality Ed Lover are among early supporters of the brand.


In honor of the wildly popular Memorial Day weekend in Miami, Twnty Two is slated to release their newest creation, the “MIA All Day” hat for the holiday weekend. As with all the hats created thus far, the “MIA All Day” will be a limited edition release with only 100 being made.

Next month, the company plans to unveil their “Derek Jeter Collectors Edition” in honor of the longtime NY Yankees shortshop who plans to retire at the end of the season.
