Iconic blues legend Bobby Rush: Life, music and community

Blues Legend Bobby Rush
Blues Legend Bobby Rush

In the world of blues few people can match the stage presence, lyrics and performance of Bobby Rush. His career has spanned at least six decades and he is still performing for packed audiences across the country and overseas. When you speak to Rush, it’s like talking to a respected elder uncle who inspires, chastises and warns the young about the joys and perils of life.  With a new album out and national tour dates that include Atlanta on June 14, 2014, at 80 Rush is a busy man. Rolling out was able to talk to Bobby Rush about his life, music and hopes for the black community.
