The city of Chicago has great news for hundreds if not thousands of citizens: a chance to have your criminal record expunged if eligible. Having a criminal record prevents people from getting suitable employment, housing or other opportunities for the betterment of their lives. Honorable Dorothy Brown, clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, announces the upcoming 2014 Adult & Juvenile Expungement Summit at Living Word Christian Center, 7600 W. Roosevelt, Forest Park, Illinois, on Saturday, June 7, 2014.

Event goers will be able to meet with lawyers and judges who will review their criminal record for expungeable offenses. In many cases, the judges at the event can issue a motion on the spot if the situation merits the action.
