Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’
Though made out to be rivals during their dominance of pop music in the ’80s, both Prince and Michael Jackson were fans of one another. Most fans don’t know that MJ’s 1987 hit “Bad” was originally slated to be a duet between the two. When Prince arrived to the studio to record his vocals, he took one listen to the demo of the song and told Michael that the song was already a hit and that he could add nothing to it. He was right. “Bad” became No. 1 hit in more than a dozen countries.
