Singer and poet Saul Williams is earning early rave reviews for his starring turn in the new Broadway play Holler If Ya Hear Me, a musical based on the music and lyrics of the late rapper Tupac Shakur. On what would have been the iconic hip-hop star’s 43rd birthday (June 16), Williams shared a playlist of his favorite Tupac exclusively songs on Rdio.

Williams includes well-known 2Pac hits such as “Keep Ya Head Up,” “Dear Mama” and “Hail Mary,” but also features more obscure cuts, such as “Whatz Next” and “Dopefiend’s Diner.” For fans of hip-hop, 2Pac or just music in general, the song selection is definitely a treat.

Opening June 19, Holler If Ya Hear Me is a non-biographical story about friendship, love, change, family and hope — all set to the music and lyrics of Tupac Shakur.
