On Saturday June 21, 2014 the legendary rapper Scarface, from the hit 90s rap group Geto Boys, performed at Chene Park for the Detroit Summer Jamz 17. Scarface took the stage for a very high energy performance dressed in a “Detroit will never die” t-shirt and matching Detroit fitted hat. He was received with lots of love from his Detroit fans after climbing the security gate and entering the crowd while performing. Scarface performed some of his hit classics such as “Smile,” “On My Block,” “I Seen a Man Die,” and “Mary Jane.” The performance was interjected with positive messages from the rapper who shared his beliefs and hopes for the growth and prosperity for the city of Detroit.
