In wake of Maria Menounos’ departure, “Extra,” the Daytime Emmy Award winning Entertainment News Program, has tapped Tracey Edmonds and Charissa Thompson to fill in as co-hosts alongside Mario Lopez.
Extra reports…
“Tracey Edmonds and Charissa Thompson have signed multi-year deals to join “Extra” as co-hosts alongside Lopez, who has been with the program since 2007.
Edmonds is an award-winning producer and CEO of the production company Edmonds Entertainment, whose latest project is the hit series “Deion’s Family Playbook” on OWN. Thompson is currently the co-host of “FOX Sports Live” on FOX Sports 1.”
In response to the big news, Edmonds released her own statement saying…
“I am thrilled to join ‘Extra’ and am so excited about being a part of such a dynamic and progressive entertainment show. I look forward to working with Mario, Charissa, Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey and her whole team. ‘Extra’ already set the bar high, but I look forward to contributing new ideas and exploring new horizons on the show as I enter the next chapter of my career.”
