Bobbi Kristina has not been shy at all about letting the world know that she hates the idea of Lifetime doing a biopic on her late mother, Whitney Houston, especially since the film’s director, Angela Bassett, cast Yaya Alafia instead of Bobbi Kristina to play the late singer. Now, Bobbi Kristina’s issues with Bassett have continued to grow as she recently called her a “b—-.”
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bassett talked about casting for the movie and explained that she didn’t consider Bobbi Kristina because acting is not her craft.
“No, I did not think about that. I did not think about casting her. And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being that she’s not an actress. I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on their family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft. It’s an attempt to illuminate the complexities of human behavior and life. And this is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story. It’s more than just saying lines and turning the light on. You have to drive the story—there’s a technical aspect,” Bassett explained.
After Bobbi Kristina got wind of the article, she vented her growing anger on Twitter and resorted to calling Bassett a “b—-.”
Bassett hasn’t responded to Bobbi Kristina’s diss and we highly doubt that she ever will. Clearly these two won’t be having a friendly conversation any time soon. – nicholas robinson
