Homeless man attempts to stab Michael Strahan
Michael Strahan didn’t see this coming. The former New York Giants NFL’er who won two titles with Big Blue and currently works part time on “Good Morning America” while co-hosting “Live! with Kelly and Michael,” has had an attempt on his life.
On Tuesday, a disgruntled homeless man arrived at ABC Studios in New York City, with knife in hand, looking to sack Strahan … for good.
Andre Johnson, 25, arrived yesterday, at ABC’s Times Square studio where “Good Morning America” is filmed. Johnson appeared during the segment where the cast often walk out onto the sidewalk to interact with fans, the New York Post reports.
According to authorities, Johnson got into a heated argument with security when he pulled a knife and announced that he was there to kill Strahan. The man was immediately subdued by a separate officer, who was filling in as site security, who also secured the weapon.
Johnson is currently being held without bail and facing several charges including felony attempted assault as well as menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
We wonder what Strahan will have to say about all of this. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
