President Barack Hussein Obama is celebrating his 53rd birthday today. Born on August 4, 1961, he celebrated this occasion with family and three of his childhood friends from Hawaii this past weekend at Camp David, the presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains.
Since his presidency, President Obama has received more than 300 gifts according to the records at the Protocol Gift Unit, the central processing point for all tangible gifts received from foreign sources, by employees of the Executive Branch of the Federal government.
