Chris Brown has never been one for personal reflection, even in the midst of his numerous personal and legal dramas throughout the years. However, the typically guarded singer surprisingly opened up to fans this past weekend when he posted a reflective Instagram message admitting his past mistakes.
On Saturday, Brown posted a shot of himself in court in an orange prison jumpsuit and wrote a brief message explaining that he was owning up to his numerous mistakes.
“I been through a lot in my life. Made a lot of mistakes along the way. But through it all I’ve always been true to myself and through God I’ve been able to take care of my family! I should regret some things but I think the lessons learned will shape me into a real man. I’m grateful and appreciative! Thank you for life!,” Brown captioned the pic.
It’s worth noting that Brown’s poignant message comes on the heels of several reports that his longtime girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, dumped him over his other famous ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.
Tran recently posted a cryptic Instagram message of her own, leaving many to believe she was calling Brown out for breaking her heart, again.
Well, whatever the reason, it appears that Brown is still dealing with his own personal demons. We just hope he’s learned to deal with them in constructive ways instead of resorting to violence and drugs for coping like he used to do. – nicholas robinson
