Chicago Jazz Festival
All jazz lovers know that Millennium Park is the place you want to be Labor Day weekend. This year’s festival runs Aug. 28–31, with a host of incredible musicians. The festival permeates high energy and good laughs throughout the park. It’s a great outdoor activity for adults to experience before the children go back to school and the summer ends. Taste of Melrose Park
This unique event offers a huge selection of restaurants offering “tastes” of wonderful food and live entertainment. Aug. 29–31, the Village of Melrose Park in Illinois invites locals and visitors to explore incredible food for less than $3.00. The event also includes a free fireworks show, music and karaoke. Chicago Fridge Festival
Defined as a performance festival. It includes a slew of local artists and performers. If you can appreciate fresh talent and new artistry then this will be a great opportunity. It all goes down in Jefferson Park, Aug. 2–Sept. 7.

Lastly, nothing is better than a great tour during Labor Day weekend. Chicago has some of the most unique and informative tours.
