DJ Khaled has been one of the most influential music makers in hip- hop recently. The DJ has frequently collaborated with Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, TI, Young Jeezy, and many others. Rolling out caught up with the Miami native to talk about his new projects after he played in Robinson Cano and CC Sabathia’s Summer Classic Charity Basketball Game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
“New album called I Changed Alot. It’s going to be big, coming out this year,” he said in response to his current projects. As usual, you can expect a lot of guest appearances on a DJ Khaled album, and this one won’t disappoint. “I got the whole world on the album, the whole world. I got the new single called “Hold You Down” featuring Chris Brown, August Alsina, Future and Jeremih, then I got the record with Jay Z, Ross, French Montana, Meek Mill, “I Changed Alot” on its way.”
Whereas Khaled has definitely established his place in the music industry, don’t look for Khaled to make any news in the world of basketball. It is easy to see that he doesn’t play basketball much, but it was his energy that actually excited the crowd and inspired cheers. Rolling out asked him about his mindset going into the game. “It’s all about having fun man, that’s what life’s about man. Giving thanks, and this was for a good cause so it is fun to play amongst the professionals as well as the rest of the celebs, it’s just about having fun.”
DJ Khaled was one of those that appeared to have the most fun in raising money for Cano’s RC22 Foundation and Sabathia’s PitCCh In Foundation. Hopefully he is having as much fun working on the new album, I Changed Alot.
