It’s always business and never personal.

Maybach Music Group rapper Wale recently made a business decision that he hopes Jay Z doesn’t take personal.

The “LoveHate Thing” rapper has decided to break ties with Hov’s Roc Nation management in favor of Leonard Brooks, Maverick Carter, and Rich Paul over at 77 North Management, which also counts megastar athlete LeBron James and NFL rookie sensation Johnny Manziel as clients.

“Wale’s growth and maturity is clear as he continues work on his best project to date. Its roll out has a lot to do with his new management, who have only been associated with the biggest and best brands in the world … #LeBron #Beats #JohnnyFootball,” said a statement released by 77 North.

Wale had been on the Roc Nation roster since 2009. The Washington D.C., native is currently in studio finishing up his forthcoming album entitled The Album About Nothing.

Roc Nation still manages Kanye West, Timbaland, Meek Mill, and Casey Veggies among others. Artists signed to the Roc Nation label include Jay Z, Rihanna, J. Cole, Jay Electronica, DJ Mustard, and Rita Ora.
