Title: Owner and Attorney

Have you always wanted to practice law?

Yes, pretty much from day one I knew I was going to have my own law firm. Coming out of college, I opened my first practice with a classmate and we partnered together to create Crozier and Demerson LLP. During this time, I was appointed to serve on the law school admission’s board where I caught the eye of Gov. Rick Perry who appointed me to serve on the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board in Austin, Texas. It was a huge learning experience because I was able to get a first hand glimpse of the justice system and how it impacts everyone from children to adults.

How did you get involved with the Oklahoma State University scandal?

I was an athlete in college, I played football and ran track. In early 2014, there was a scandal at Oklahoma State University and I represented one of the players in that scandal. It was somewhat of a personal case for me although most of my cases are referred to me, such as this one. It was relatable; I often work cases that I take interest in and that’s what happened with Oklahoma.

What other projects do you have in the works?

I will be hosting a quarterly event called the “Chris Demerson Power Happy Hour” at Mr. Peoples. What sets this event apart from others is that it offers networking opportunities for business owners to come out and seek legal advice while supporting and donating to local charities. I am also in the process of opening my next office in my hometown of Waco, Texas, and then expanding to Denton and North Texas. While I’m opening the Waco office I will be looking for young attorneys and any exceptional attorneys that may be interested.
