Khloe Kardashian and French Montana are apparently on pause for a little while.
The couple has reportedly decided to take a “break,” according to Us Weekly. “They are on a break,” a source told the mag. “The relationship got too heavy and Khloe needed to take a step back.”
Of course, no specifics are given as to what “too heavy” actually means, but the reality starlet has reportedly dissed Montana among her friends.
Another source stated that Kardashian has said that Montana is too “needy” and “became so dependent” on her during their time together.
“She just wants time apart from him,” the insider claims.
Kardashian and Montana got together fairly quickly after she split from her ex-husband, NBA player Lamar Odom, last December. She and Odom had been together for four years, but the marriage dissolved last year amid rumors of Odom’s drug abuse. Shortly after they called it quits, Kardashian was seen out and about with the Bad Boy rapper.
French even admitted in an interview last month that he is hoping to capitalize off the extra publicity that comes with dating a Kardashian.
“I want to capitalize on it,” French told Billboard. “I’ll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I’ll be able to connect with everything that’s going on.”
Kardashian responded by saying that his comments didn’t bother her at all.
“It’s amusing to me that y’all think I don’t see it,” she tweeted at the time. “I was the first one to see it. I just don’t care.”
