Nicki Minaj was not happy with how her “Fashion Rocks” performance was edited by CBS. The Young Money rapper performed her hit single “Anaconda” on the telecast on Tuesday, Sept. 9, but she has since gone to Twitter and Instagram, complaining about how the performance was presented.
“My darlingz, I wish you could’ve seen the choreography on the 2nd verse of ANACONDA last night,” Nicki Minaj posted on Instagram. “It was absolutely divine. CBS decided not to show it. Had they told us this before, we would have changed the choreo so that you guys could see the full performance from beginning to end. They already had you tuned in tho. Artists spend so much of their own money, time and passion to deliver their fans great performances. But ultimately, our art usually falls into the hands of people who care nothing about our art and creativity. Promise you’ll get to see this new choreo soon. Love uuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!! 11.24 ~ The Pinkprint ”
Nicki then tweeted her dissatisfaction with the show.
“Barbz, I’m sorry about those angles,” she wrote on Twitter. “They told us they’d go wide, never mentioned they’d shoot the audience instead. Big learning experience.”
There was also quite an unflattering photo (that has since gone viral) of Minaj’s infamous backside as she was seated in a chair during the “Anaconda” performance; and the angle captures an odd look at her thigh and butt that amplified charges that her most notorious physical feature is an implant.
