Jhené Aiko’s bares tattoos at One Music Fest 2014 signifying her strength

Jhene Aiko-1

The Japanese rising sun on Aiko’s shoulder is a tribute to Miyagi, who died of a brain tumor (cancer) at age 26. The tattoo illustrates Aiko’s favorite Bible verse, John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten son.” She was born in March, the third month of the year, and there are 16 rays extending from the sun.

Phases of the moon across her back: Always keeping it’s spectators enraptured, the Moon passes through various phases of illumination as it completes a 27.3-day orbit around the Earth, going from new moon, to full moon and back to new moon again. Karma operates in the same manner; it travels 360-degrees, going around and coming back around.

An infinity symbol is located mid back, just beneath the moon’s phases. It represents perfection, dualism, and unity between male and female.
