Snoop Dogg has typically been progressive when it comes to LGBT equality in recent years, but Snoop drew criticism from his LGBT fans recently when he posted a homophobic slur online targeting two men.
According to the Huffington Post, yesterday morning, Snoop posted a photo on Instagram from another user’s account of two men lying in bed together, along with a homophobic message for them.
“U n ya boyfriend since you like Jumpin on my page disrespectn b—- boy go suck ya man n get off my line f–,” Snoop wrote.
Snoop deleted the photo half an hour later, but not before fans took screenshots of the photo.
Snoop hasn’t divulged any additional info about the incident, but he did post another photo later, hinting that he was standing his ground in the matter.
Well, there’s still no word on what prompted the photo and the message from Snoop, but it’s still disappointing to see Snoop use homophobic slurs to slam fans on social media. Being cool with the LBGT community doesn’t really matter when you’re still making offensive remarks about people’s sexuality. –nicholas robinson
